A (15 x 15 x 15 “) laser-cut plywood box, with two locking doors, and 3 drawers with inserts to create custom-sized compartments.
The top door features a plexiglass window enabling viewing the top drawer contents, with a simple locking mechanism that requires a passcode.
The front door features a precision lock that requires perfect alignment of the front gear.
The design is inspired by safes, indicating the value of the contents to the owner. The box doesn’t function as an actual safe, however.
Top Door
The three gears on the top lock a sliding latch located below them.
When the gears are adjusted to the correct passcode, the latch is released and can move to the right to unlock the top door.
Front Door
The front door is locked with a single gear.
Unlocking the front door simply requires aligning the gear to the laser engraved line across the door.
